What a fantastic course. Apart from the 1st you won`t get bored playing here, no holes play the same. If your into thinking about shots as opposed to `going for it` then this is the place for you. The 3rd is a dog leg right par 4 tee-ing some 60 feet above the fairway, with a water hazard to catch out us high handicappers out, you eventually play onto an elevated green !! Just pull out the big dog and let it rip!! The signature hole is the 165 yard par 3 16th. Again tee-ing off from a slightly elevated tee box, you play down into a small green- across the water, avoid the overhanging trees and try not to leave it short or it rolls back into the drink -A great hole. The views from the course are great, with the Severn estuary and South Wales making a very picturesque backdrop. 3rd & 18th offer the best views. I`m not to sure how it would play in the winter months, I imagine with the wind howling up the estuary then it won`t be a particularly pleasant place. Although set on the side of the valley the walking isn`t to strenous, though the walk back up to 18 is an absolute killer, if you have any illness or struggle physically then take a buggy (£22). The Pro Shop were excellent and couldn`t help enough. The food in the bar was `ok`, we had to send our Cheeseburgers back to have the grated cheese melted! Like I wanted stone cold cheese on my burger??? All in all it was a great experience and one which I`m repeating in July.
