If you asked anyone who hasn't heard of Blue Mountain Golf Club, you would think this course sounds amazing " up in the mountains looking over deep blue ocean", a bit like Chelsfield Lakes, a golf course surrounded by beautiful lakes ---------- instead you couldn't be further from the truth with both. So why is it Typical crown course, OK so i played here in a society, on the first tee the starter was saying to me that Blue Mountain are doing some deal at the moment £25 a month with all these benefits(to me he is a saleman wanting as many punters through the door a possible) I didnt know if he was offering me £25 a month to play there or for me to stump up £25 a month to play with there with 750(too many)keen members, like sunbury, traditions, chelsfield lakes these are just add on's that you wouldn't really rush back at these courses more than once to play unless you are part of the crown membership which includes these free rounds of golf as part of the benefits which attracts so many members(why on earth pyrford has to be on the scheme as doesn't need to be) now I know i cant speak for all crown courses but to me it is just a money making scheme that just want people through the door. OK AS I SAY I CANT SPEAK FOR ALL CROWN COURSES BUT I HATE TIMESHARES AND THINGS LIKE THAT. Now a good man once said to me, you pay for what you get and if its sounds to get to be true it probably is, now I like to go to a club with a personal feel to it and i hate the word golf centre on any sign as your approching a GOLF CLUB. The only good thing about Blue Mountain was the greens were in good condition, a tad slow but still pretty good, this is the only highlight, course boring, 1 good hole(8th), tee boxes poor and i would like to ask every member how they could get excited about putting there clubs in the boot of there car to drive here, I couldn't Im starting to ask myself, am I anti crown ---------- YES

played here a few years ago and wasnt great but pleased to say a great come back .. course and greens in great condition .. keep up the good work blue mountain

A nice location, I like a more tree-lined course and it was a little bit open for me. Great value for money £26 for a round of golf, bacon roll and tea in the morning and soup and sandwiches in the afternoon. Best soup ive had for a long time (spiced orange and carrot)!

Guys, As this is my home course then I`d thought I`d give you an open and honest review from a member. I`ve been a member for 4 out of the last 5 years. I started when American Golf owned the course and left after a year because it was so bad. Crown Golf took over the portfolio around 2005 ish and I re-joined when I met an old member. The course is playing fantastic at the moment, though if this weather keeps up then the Greenkeeping staff will need to up the ante and water the greens more. A round at peak time is £26 and buggies are £22 (that`s if they`ve not been stolen and dumped in the pond at the 11th- ha ha. Makes a nice water feature though). It`s a challenging course, and although not long by today`s standards will prove a tough test. It`s not all bash it down the middle and you`re on. You do need to use the grey matter. I reckon this course has the hardest Par 3`s in the area. The shortest is over water up to a 2 tier green- 165 yards from the Whites. The longest is 244 yards, sloping up, with the fairway rolling right to left, again the green is a cracker. Sound easy? If you get a bit of a breeze then it ain`t. Downside of the course is the protective tee box netting on the 12 & 13. These have always been here and were part of the original plans. I believe the Insurance Company insist on them to mitigate them from the folks in the houses opposite. The guys in the Pro Shop are good, but as always need to raise their game - like not running out of score cards!! Hello McFly !! The bar area is pretty big with a large outdoor area. Food prices are in line or sligthly below the local area. Though it is frustrating when the kitchen decides to close early, this is prevalent in the late afternoon at the weekends. The worst part of the whole complex is the Practise facilities, the putting area is spot on but the driving range leaves a lot to be desired. If the ball dispencers decide to work the power tees don`t. The landing area resembles a battlefield. The practise bunker should be shut under trade description act because it ain`t no bunker. This area needs major investment, which I believe Crown are working on. Any way enough of war & piece, I`ll let you guys decide.
