This is known as the most relaxing golf course on the island with its sister course, Red Mountain being described as one of the most challenging.
The course is spread over 160 acres of lush, rolling hills, this par 72, 18 holes course has been carefully designed to blend beautifully with the natural terrain, treating you to a scenic course along with the many challenging hazards and greens.

Loch Palms new sister course is also the newest course on the island and with its elevated position it is also one of the most challenging.

Formerly the site of an early 19th century tin mine, designer John Morrow has done a wonderful job preserving the natural feel of the site while carving a fantastic golf course out of a mountain. The club house is impressive with great terraced views overlooking the 1st, 9th and 18th holes. The course, while playing shorter than any tour course, has dramatic views from almost every tee and climbs to a dizzying elevation with sea views from the top of the mountain. Golf buggies are compulsory as the course is impossible to walk as it climbs up and down the mountain. The par 3 17th plays to a green that is a full 50 plus meters below the tee. The course plays narrow and good ball striking is required to stay in play. A very fair course with lovely views, another must play course while in Phuket.

Loch Palm Golf Course bills itself as the most relaxing golf course in Phuket. Nestled in the Kahtu Valley, the course winds it's way around two lakes, and is surrounded by a mountain range that separates Kahtu from the sea. Water comes into play on 8 of the 18 holes and creeks and water hazards line the edge of another 4 holes. The layout is lovely to take in, and as long as you can keep the ball in play and avoid the hazards, the course is a very fair challenge of golf. Rated at 68.4 with a slope of 129 from the white tee and 69.6/133 from the blue and playing just under 6000 yards from the white tees or 6408 from the blue, the layout of each hole challenges one to "make the shot". Most risk reward holes are rewarded with a good shot. The course is an easy walk although buggies are available for rental. The 18th hole has the potential to be a card wrecker as it plays a dog leg left with a drive that needs to be long and right to see the corner. The second shot offers up a safe landing area that is only 20 yards wide at it's narrowest point, although longer hitters have a chance to reach in 2 if they can drive a 3 wood 225 but if you miss, there is water and sand on the right! The greens run true but have a fair amount of undulation, especially the three tiered par 5 11th and the signature 14th par 3 island green, where the tee box is elevated some 40 meters above the green. Great views, great conditions, a must play course if you come to Phuket.
