Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort is a relatively new golf holidays resort which opened in 2006.
With a vision of making it one of the best destinations for golf holidays in Spain, the entire Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort has been built to a very high standard and offers golf villas, extensive leisure facilities, bars, restaurants, golf clubhouse and, the centrepiece, a Par 72, championship length golf course designed by Dave Thomas Limited.

The Dave Thomas design is a massive 6,724 metres off the back tees (making it one of the longest golf courses in Spain) and is set out as two loops of nine. Laid out across what were originally almond and orange groves on gently undulating terrain the clever design incorporates further landscaping, extensive planting of palm trees, eight man-made lakes and water cascades to add further interest to the visually pretty course.
Dave Thomas has managed to create a beautiful course which will challenge the very best of golfers but, with the clever use of multiple tees, can be equally enjoyed by golfers of less ability.
Always well maintained Hacienda del Alamo is well worth making the effort to play

Modern clubhouse with bars, restaurants and pro shop. Excellent golf practice facilities inc golf academy.

Played Hacienda Golf as part of a society group and my feelings are a bit mixed. The resort, clubhouse, bar, food exc are all great. The coursze layout is big and gives a feeling of space and is very pretty (looks like it would be a monster off teh back tees but we played the middle tee position). The only thing which let the course down is lack of a couple of ground staff - bunkers, tees, even some of the greens looked like they had cut back a bit too much on the staff. But that said I'd certainly recommend it to anyone going to murcia and if they step up the maintenance again the course would be fantastic.
