Summary:

Santana Golf & Country Club is beautiful Golf Holiday Resort development in the hills behind Fuengirola, Costa del Sol.

The course, a Par 72, 18 hole Championship length layout designed by Cabell B. Robinson, is laid out on relatively flat land which was previously an avocado plantation (so walking is relatively easy which is unusual for courses in the hills).

The fairways are wide and lead to large, well protected and undulating greens.

Always immaculately maintained the course is scenically very pretty and technically tough from the back tees. However, the option of four tee positions means the course can also be enjoyed by less accomplished golfers.

The course offers a fantastic finish with the last holes playing around a lovely lake below the clubhouse (it’s just a pity that the club terrace doesn’t enjoy this views).

Club is very friendly and visitors are always welcome. Contact club to make arrangements.

Clubhouse with changing rooms, bar, restaurant, lounge and pro shop. Golf facilities include a practice area and equipment hire.

Played here in October last year. Because it is set in the hills behinf Fuengirola I was expecting it to be a hilly course but it is not (really). What it is is a lovely club with the single course. The clubhouse is small but nice (with great food)just a little disappointing that the small terrace doesn't overlook the fantastic 17th 18th fininshing holes around the lake (instead the terrace overlooks the entrance road and part of the 1st fairway). Anyway, course is well designed and beautifully maintained with some great challenging holes. I'd definitely recommend playing this course if you are in the area.
