Summary:

Finca Cortesin, opened in 2007, is a high quality new development set in the heart of the Spanish Costa del Sol between Marbella and Sotogrande.
The golf course, designed by Cabell Robinson and measuring over 6,800 from the back tees, is reputed to be one of the best in Spain. It has over 100 bunkers but it's most spectaular features are natural. The course was designed to take full advantage of the spectacular environment within which it is set and the quality of the course construction is matched by the quality of the maintenance.
Host to the Volvo World Matchplay Championship 2009, this is an excellent facility and a superb course.

Played Finca with a group of friends on a fantastic blue sky day. At €120 it's a bit on the expensive side and so it had a lot to live up to, but it paid it back in spades. Everything about the setup oozes quality, the reception, the clubhouse and the course. The course is American in design with wide fairways, big bunkers, big undulating, hard to read greens and water in play on several holes. We played off the yellow tee and it was an great challenge with fantastic views in all directions and every bit of the course immaculatley maintained. The signature 13th hole is a stunner requiring good positional play (we lost two balls from the group!) but there are a host of other just as memorable holes. All in all, it's expensive and not a course for beginners, but if you can afford it and you're less than 15 handicap and the weather is good, you'll have a day to remember

Superb American style golf course in elevated position in Casares Costa. One of the longest courses in Europe with the 13th hole rated one of the best in the Costa del Sol and Andalucia. Suited to serious golfers.
