Summary:

The Dona Julia Golf Club, which opened in 2006, is a pretty resort style course with some sweeping Mediterranean views.
Designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido as the centre piece of a golf resort and residential development (with the course running up the valley and the housing set on the hills above) the very picturesque 18 hole course has wide rolling fairways and huge greens (comprising an average of 700 m2) all constructed to USPGA standards.
The design of the course offers two distinct sets of nine holes. The front nine holes are the more difficult with long holes winding through trees, lakes and rivers whilst the back nine is flatter. Unusually the design has three Par 3's in a row (11, 12 and 13).
The course would be a hard slog so buggies are recommended.
