Summary:

Opened in 2007, El Valle Golf Resort is one of the premier resorts in the Polaris World Group.

The Jack Nicholas designed course is situated in a beautiful natural desert valley and is considered one of the best new courses in Spain.

The course has been laid out in what has been called a “core” format where groups of holes are placed together keeping the surrounding residential development on the perimeter. This means that many holes border other golf holes and not the more traditional 'villa lined fairways' layout creating a more open and natural golf experience.

Always well maintained El Valle is arguably the toughest of the Polaris World courses with a premium placed on accuracy, not power, and it is a course which certainly favours the intelligent player who can manage his or her game. A great challenge to all golfers.

In brief, clubhouse stunning with fantastic views across the course from the terrace. Geat place to have a post play beer and watch other golfers coming in. It's a cleverly designed course which allows players of varying ability to be challenged and to enjoy it. Typical Nicklaus design with wide fairways, lots of bunkers and water hazards leading to raised greens which look great and challenge you to go for them. The elevated tee on the 13th is fantastic inviting you to open the sholders. Fairways and green well maintained but a couple of surrounding areas looked like they could use a bit of tlc. Bit of a disappointment that the buggies had to stay on the paths because the fairways are sometimes very wide meaning I probably walked further than if I'd actually walked the course. All in all, definitely worth the visit, we'll be back (but probably without the buggie!)
