Summary:

El Cortijo, which opened in 1976, is situated about 8 kilometres from the sea and west of the road between the N340 and Mojacar near Turre in Almeria. The resort is a low density residential development in the south-east corner of Andalucia which includes a 9-hole, par 36 golf course.
The golf course is unique and is strongly recommended to those who enjoy a round of golf in natural surroundings and who can do without the luxury of demonstrated by the majority of golf resort in Andalucia. The course is set in the valley at the foot of the Sierra Cabrera and is laid out across lemon, orange and olive tree plantations right next to the small town. There is no real club house but the retaurant/bar next door more than delivers against the apres golf requirement.
