Quinta do Gramacho Golf Resort is part of the Pastana Group of golf resorts.

Set out next to Vale da Pinta Golf Resort near Lagoa in the Western Algarve (also owned by Pestana), Gramacho was designed by Ronald Fream and Nick Price. Together they set out to create a unique design blending the beauty of the natural surroundings with man-made challenges. The result is a visually beautiful course which seamlessly blends the natural stone outcrops, historic dry stone walling and ancient trees with some artfully sculpted lakes and bunkers.

With 18 holes and 27 greens, plus numerous different tee positions, players are able to enjoy the same course time and time again but always with slightly different challenges.

Gramacho has hosted the Portuguese Ladies Open on a number of occasions and will offer a challenge to even the most accomplished of golfer. However, the flexibility in tee positions means the course can be equally enjoyed by the less gifted player.

Quinta do Gramacho is a lovely resort complex, nicely laid out with villas set back from the fairways. The course is a great design with each hole being different and excellent use of the natural hazards (rock outcrops, original old stone walls, ancient trees..). It's in great condition at the moment with the (big) greens running fast and true. To cap it all the views from the course are stunning with every hole seemingly offering a view better than the last. Plus the clubhouse is great with a terrace offering a chance to have a cold beer with views back down the 18th fairway. Definitely one to play again
