Summary:

One of the older developments on the west Algarve, Boavista Golf is a championship length 18 hole course set on undulating land by the coast east of Praia da Luz..
Designed by Howard Swan (UK based course architect) Boavista Golf Course is split into two distinctive parts. The1st, 2nd, 3rd plus the 13th to 18th holes are within the resort and offer reasonably tight, villa lined fairways. whilst the 4th to 12th holes provide the 'Country' section of the course.
Although perhaps not maintained to the standard of some of its neighbours Boavista Golf Course does offer some very interesting and challenging holes especially on the 'country' section of the course (the 6th, a 190 meter Par 3 across a ravine and the water features on the 13th to 17th certainly add interest!). In addition the course offers some great views to the mountains and Atlantic Ocean.

Course has some interesting holes but is looking a bit tired with greens and tees needing attention. It's worth playing (and is reasonably priced) but it's not the best course around so don't try to judge it as that and you'll enjoy it.
