Vilamoura Millennium Golf Course, Algarve, Portugal

The Millenium Golf Course, on the Villamoura Golf Estate, is part of the Oceanico Group of Golf Resorts.
 
The course, which opened in 2000, is a Martin Hawtree development whereby he took (and refurbished) nine holes from the original 27 hole Vilamoura III Golf Course (the remaining 18 hole forming the new Laguna Golf Course) and developed a totally new front nine hole.
 
The refurbishment and the totally new outward nine have delivered an excellent parkland course which is relatively open and offers a sense of space with three large lakes offering visual interest and wildlife refuge.
 
With its multiple tee options the course is suitable for players of all ability.
