we only started playing around 12 months ago and Ombersley were very welcoming to us. all the staff are pleasant and you are not treated like an idiot (unlike a lot of other clubs) when asking simple questions about rules/equipment/etiquette etc... the course itself is very good and well maintained. with lots of open spaces for those erratic beginners shots, but at the same time some holes are very testing and can destroy your round if not played properly .. a very good mix... also this course never seems to be closed. we played there almost every week through the winter and come rain or shine the course was open
