Newton Green Golf club was founded as a 9-hole common land course in 1907. It is one of the oldest golf clubs in Suffolk.

The Common land area now holds 8 holes for the 18 hole course plus a spare hole we maintain for the villagers 9 hole rights, practise, and as an emergency hole when we undertake any large scale work on the course. These are challenging golf holes, where patience and tidy golf will reap rewards.

The course is of two distinct halves. The front quite open, welll bunkered and with lakes to contend with. The back features gorse, ditches and interesting greens.
The Clubhouse was built in 1981, and extended in 1988 to add the dining room and Kitchen, then again in 1999 for the new Ladies changing room. Recently the clubhouse has been refurbished to include a new Secretaries office and improved gentlemens changing facilities.
As an 18 hole golf course Newton Green is a tricky course mixing the old with newer holes and a long history of golfing enjoyment.
