Summary:

Founded in 1914, Nevill Golf Club is situated on the southern edge of Tunbridge Wells and has a magnificent view south from the verandah of the clubhouse over the well wooded slopes of Bayham and Frant. The 6349 yard par 71 course is exceptionally enjoyable and challenging at the same time. Visitors are very welcome but are advised to book with the secretary well in advance to avoid clashing with club dates and various members' competitions. Many holes are memorable, but surely the 10th and 11th, back-to-back par fives, stand out for most people. Get through this 'Amen Corner' without tearing your card up and you've done very well indeed.

Play here end of October. Pro & bar staff were all friendly. Course is a lovely wooded layout where you're mostly unaware of other fairways. The condition of the course was generally very good with wide fairways and big greens to aim at (which held an approach shot). Only small disappointment would be that the greens needed a haircut (apparently they had been tined 10 days before so I guess they were letting them grow back a little). So, in all, I thoroughly enjoyed playing the course and will definitely return (probably in the spring).

Played the course and enjoyed the layout. It's a woodland course with lots of variety in the holes. The condition was as to be expected in winter but the greens were far too slow for me. They required a cut but we were warned that the greens had some maintenance done on them two weeks previous so no complaints really plus we got reduced green fees. Staff were all very friendly and clubhouse was very good. So, want to go back in the spring/summer and give it another go. All else good
