Langley Park Golf Club was founded as a flat parkland course. It was designed by J.H. Taylor who was one of the emergent golf course architects (he already had five Open Championship Victories).
As the name implies, the course is built on a parkland site, formally part of the Goodhart Family Estate.
To day the course retains its original rolling terrain, but is now well wooded and considering its proximity to the centre of London, it is a haven of peace and solitude. The soil lends itself to verdant growth which is evident from the lush fairways and the surrounding greenery, although most fairways are bordered by woodland, they are wide with forgiving rough and friendly bunkers.
The course is set in 120 acres and measures some 6300 yds. With a par of 68 off the yellow markers, it provides a test of skill without the drudgery of hill climbing.

In 1926 Henry Cotton at the age of 19 took up his first job as a full time Professional Golfer at Langley Park. He left in 1933 and won his first Open at Royal St George's a year later. He was granted Honorary Membership in 1963 and retained it until his death in 1987.

Langley Park welcomes Societies, visiting parties and green fees.
