The Clubhouse at Knebworth was built as a result of Lutyens' marriage to Lady Emily Lytton, the family dynasty resident at Knebworth House.
In 1995, the interior was extensively refurbished to provide the facilities of a modern golf club in a manner that does justice to Lutyens' original vision.
Knebworth offers an attractive rolling parkland course with, strangely, several holes running parallel with the East Coast main line railway.
The Club welcome visiting golf societies on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Knebworth does not reserve tee times for casual play and booking is not possible. However, it is worth checking with the Professional that there are no matches or societies. Also, the course is built on clay and can be slow to get going after a cold winter (the course is generally at its best from mid May onwards). In winter, because of drainage, the club uses winter greens whenever there is frost or the course is very wet. Also there may be a trolley ban so it's worth checking with the professional before turning up.

Clubhouse with full bar & catering. Professional shop. Golf practice area with putting & chipping area.
