Summary:

Hever Castle Golf Club, set in 250 acres of beautiful Kent countryside, offers 27 holes of championship class golf (3 * 9 hole loops) and a great Tudor style clubhouse.
A subtle blend of Historic charm, excellent service and facilities gives Hever Castle Golf Club the reputation as one of the finest Golf and Hospitality Venues in the South East of England.
The course adjoins the grounds of Hever Castle which dates back to 1270 (the childhood home of Anne Boleyn). In 1903 William Waldorf Astor acquired the Castle and in the 1920s the Astors created a nine hole golf course for their personal enjoyment, which has now been developed into the modern courses of today. Although arranged as three loops of 9 it is generally accepted that the 18 hole course comprises the Kings & Queens loops whilst the, still excellent, Princes loop comprises a single 9 holes.
The clubhouse overlooks both courses and offers superb views of the River Eden valley, it is the perfect place to relax and share a drink or a bite to eat, in the Lounge, Spike Bar or Sun Terrace.
The Club’s Professional Shop offers equipment hire, sale and club repair.
The Club has hosted the Kent P.G.A. Championship several times together with many Junior tour events.
For such a testing course, Hever Castle is surprisingly not intimidating to the less experienced golfer. The beautiful surroundings make playing the courses a real pleasure.
Visitors are always welcome.  Contact club to make arrangements.

Facilities:

Extensive facilities include Golf changing rooms with showers; Fully stocked professional shop with equipment hire; Practice facilities (driving range, chipping area and putting green); Bar and full catering facilities. Tennis, Fishing, Swimming, Gymnasium. Function rooms, Weddings etc

I played here for the first time at the TSG championships on 16th April 2010. We played off the whites, which made the course extremely long & tough for a 20 handicapper! This course is very nice visually, but has some very tough holes especially on the back 9, which has their version of Amen corner, with 3 holes that have to be played with pinpoint accuracy. The 13th has a lake to the left of centre, Large trees scattered all over the right of the narrow fairway & a wide ditch surrounding the small, right to left sloping green! This is index 1. The course has Index 1, 2 & 3 all on the back 9, which is unusual, but still has some very tough holes on the front. Incidentally the 17th is a par 5 629yd hole. Not being a massive hitter, I needed a driver, two 3 woods & an 8 iron just to get on the green! I was very lucky to come away with 29 points (24 off 3/4 !) It is definitely worth playing & I can't wait to take on this, 6700 yd challenge again sometime.

First thing thats grabs you about this course is the clubhouse. Nicely positioned over looking both the 9th and 18th greens with plenty of space to enjoy a drink after the round. The course itself plays long(!). It will always take you a club more than you think to reach the greens and even then you will be tested as the course is susceptible to head winds. However, there are some great holes here and well worth a visit. Its a little pricey at £40 but great value at £20 with a 2for1 voucher/openfairways card. Will be back soon....

Fantastic course, 6500yrds off yellow tees, weather was perfect, course was very well kept although greens have been spiked(like most courses this time of the year - getting ready for the summer.) The course is challenging although you are still able to get the driver out and have a real go, i think the course is one where u have to ATTACK the pins to shoot a good score. Must be noted i like playing exciting par 3's and the 12th won't disappoint followed by an excellent par 4 13th. Can't wait to go back.

Well, what can I say. The course (18 hole) is so good that i played like a complete plonker but still thoroughly enjoyed the round. The greens are too firm (hard to stop on them) but the layout and the scenery make up for everything (and for those who like a challenge the 630 yd par 5 dog-leg 17th should give you what you are looking for). And for those wanting a lessor challenge but with the same quality and, history and layout the 'Princes' 9 hole looked superb (not played).
