Summary:

Hatfield London Country Club offers two excellent 18 hole parkland courses referred to as The Old course and The New course (sometimes also referred to as The Members Course).  The Old course is an undulating 6,800 yard mature parkland course designed by Fred Hawtree and opened in 1976. The New course, opened in 1992, is somewhat flatter but at 7,100 yard offers a challenge to any golfer. The clubhouse is built around a 16th century barn and so offers excellent facilities in an atmospheric environment.  Visitors are always welcome but the New course is reserved for members and members guests.

Facilities:

Superb clubhouse with bars, catering, function rooms, changing rooms, golf pro shop. Grass golf practice area plus 9 hole pitch & putt course

Hatfield London is a decent course. The greens were in very good shape but the fairways were burnt out in many places. To be fair so are most other courses due to the summer drought we are experiencing. Price wasn't too bad at 38 GBP and they have a special during the week 48 GBP for a two ball which is a good deal. Good legnth from the back tees but any other tees shorten the course dramatically. Has a couple of quirky holes and some narrow fairways but overall I think it is worth a shot. I know I will be going back (as a two ball this time).

As soon as you drive into this place, you know this is one classy joint!!! Surrounded by statues at a very attractive venue, the Grounds are steeped in History, and the course is a great one to play. The 15th is a Par 3 with a massive pond between the tee and the green, very attractive. Great Value if you use the 2fore1 vouchers!! Only fault is I've never seen greens this fast, EVER!!! This is a MUST, if you live in the South East or London area!!
