Glynneath Golf Club, nestling in the pretty surroundings of the Brecon Beacon's National Park, has an 18 hole golf course measuring just under 6,100 yards.  No two holes are the same and every hole offers its own unique challenges (the par 3 6th is played across a ravine!).  The course is described as a mix of parkland and woodland, so large mature trees are a very prominent feature on most holes and the setting offers impressive views of the surrounding mountains and vales.  The course has undergone a lot of development over the past year with the introduction of four superb new holes which have added 500 yads to the course length.  The club chairman, for over 20 years, is Max Boyce, one of Wales’ best and most loved celebrity entertainers. His very popular competition, The Max Boyce Classic, held at Glynneath has attracted a host of well known celebrities and sports personalities down the years.  Visitors are always assured of a warm welcome.
