Established in 1887, Cleveland is the oldest golf course in Yorkshire.
The Championship links course, again the only links course in Yorkshire, is situated by the shores of the North Sea and measures 6696 yards from the white tees with a par of 72. The Ladies play from red tees all the year round and their course measures 5577 yards with a par of 73.
The course itself is flat and easy to walk. It is protected by strategically placed bunkers both on the fairways and around the greens. In addition, and in common with many Championship links courses, it is a true test of golf when the wind blows.
The clubhouse is open seven days a week and serves a variety of beers, lagers, wines and spirits, all at prices below the rate charged in the local public houses.
We can assure a warm, North-East welcome, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee, the weather.
