Reputedly one of Yorkshire's finest golf courses. Bradford Golf Club is a regular venue for County standard golf events.
The clubhouse is built in a traditional style and offers two well stocked bars cater for the thirsty golfer and a wide variety of meals in the Dining Room. The view from the comfortable lounge is one of the best in Yorkshire.
The course, laid out in 1899, runs in two loops with the 10th and the 18th holes finishing outside the clubhouse.
The spacious greens, with their subtle borrows, and some tough uncompromising par 4's make the top class course a fair test of golf which must be treated with respect.
The Bradford Golf club locally known as Hawksworth commands extensive views over Baildon and Rombalds Moors, and can justly claim to be one of the oldest golf clubs in Yorkshire.
Always in immaculate condition, the course has been used for many Yorkshire Championship events over the years and is the venue for the prestigious Hawksworth Trophy, a 36 hole scratch competition which attracts a strong field and is held in April.
