Just back from playing Barkway Park, north Herts If you get the chance, give it a go Its a long course,6609yds off the yellows, par 74 Quite open but possibly the best greens I've played on. Its £18 a round in the week but a three or fourball can play for £36 It was also only £10 for the old fella as he's over 55 Surprisingly, had we been playing matchplay I'd have done him 6&4 as I played quite well, putting far better than recently, and finished with a satisfactory 35 points Good beer & sausage sandwich in the pub down the road afterwards as well All in all well worth taking a day off
