The Beaches and Water Sports -
Soft sandy beaches 20 minutes away, coupled with the calm waters of the Mar Menor make it ideal both for children and for the extensive water sports that are on offer here. These include jet skiing, wind surfing, sailing, fishing, snorkelling, and scuba diving.
Recommended beaches:
San Pedro/Lo Pagan - therapeutic waters, mud flats and nature reserve

Santiago de la Ribera - closest beach fringed by a palm-lined promenade that runs the length of the beach.
- Catch a ferry to Tomaes Maestre Marina on the La Manga Strip
Los Alcazares - The town has no less than four Blue Flag beaches. These are kept immaculately clean and have excellent facilities for families and children.

Cartagena - An ancient port & strategic military base in Roman times
Numerous archaeological museums, including Roman and punic ruins, an
amphitheatre, castle, cathedral & Bishop's palace, several historic churches and pretty port area

The New Water park (Terra Aqua Murcia) and Animal park (Terra Natura Murcia) - provide a wonderful family day out, with something for all ages just 20 minutes from the resort in fact on the way to Nueva Condomina and the new football stadium see below.

The cities of Murcia & Cartagena both boast excellent shopping facilities.
Dos Mares San Javier just 20 minutes drive away has a shopping mall, which includes 10 pin bowling, cinema and an extensive food hall.
Espacio Mediterráneo, Cartagena. The covered centre offers a comprehensive range of leisure (Cinema and Bowling Park) food and fashion stores.
Nueva Condomina, Murcia. This recently opened shopping mall with some 200 shops, including many U.K high street chains that you will be familiar with. This complex also provides a huge range of restaurants, 10 pin bowling and 6 screen cinema.
