The Costa del Sol is Spain’s premier region for tourism, and people booking golfing holidays in Malaga won’t be disappointed by the range of facilities on offer. Mijas Golf Club is just 20 minutes from Malaga Airport, with a clubhouse based around an old Andalusian farmhouse, and an equally charming setting in the Mijas Valley, near the vibrant resort of Fuengirola. The courses are equally imaginative: Los Olivos (The Olive Trees) and Los Lagos (The Lakes) offer lush fairways that match up to their name – tricky olive tree groves in one, and scenic lakes to lose your ball in, in the other.
